I am delighted to include a word of greeting on the website of the International Anglican Women’s Network. This is a timely and appropriate way for women throughout the Anglican Communion to consult with each other and to highlight specific issues which they face wherever they are.
At a time when our world is so laden with conflict, uncertainty, and controversy, it is more important than ever to provide a forum for the voices of all women, where:-
Every story is welcomed, and every voice is heard.
Through this forum, the most pressing challenges which women face, and the injustices they experience, can be analysed and conveyed to the Anglican Consultative Council.
Anglican women bring to these discussions the particular gift of an Anglican faith-based perspective rooted in justice and compassion.
I hope this website will play its part in enhancing the already significant contribution made by women both to the Church and the wider society. I hope too that IAWN will encourage and inspire women everywhere to take their rightful and valuable place within the family of God to which we all belong.
Be assured of my prayers and best wishes for the service you offer on behalf of women everywhere.
